Program Description

Few professions embody the degree of stress experienced in the medical profession. And - ironically - few professions allow so little time for rest and personal rejuvenation.

As part of the Orange County Medical Association’s ongoing commitment to bring healthy, healing lifestyle options to our members, we are presenting this day-long workshop led by one of our nation’s most revered meditation teachers. Treat yourself to a day of quiet contemplation, meditation, and deep inner peace.

This workshop will be focused on learning and practicing several different mindfulness meditation techniques - including sitting, standing, walking, and lying-down practice. While some of the philosophical and historical underpinnings of meditation practice will be explored, our primary focus will be on the actual practice of meditation, and methods for allowing it to become an integral part of one’s daily life. Participants complete this workshop feeling deep inner peace, profound relaxation, increased mental clarity, and enhanced physical energy.

Open to beginners and experienced meditators, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to embark on the path to a new, more serene and fulfilling way of life. Join us for this very unique and precious opportunity.

Please note that a portion of this program will include meditation. Please dress comfortably. Please bring whatever you require to meditate comfortably, such as a pillow, cushion, mat, or blanket. You will be seated for some of the meditation exercises. You will be lying down for other parts of the meditation exercises.
